μ’s Final Love Live(stream!) in PH :D

I had about 10 stories I wanted to talk about but was busy with other things (and my hobbies) so maybe some other time 😛

Instead, here’s some news about my fandom!

After 5 years, it seems by the end of March, it’s gonna be the supposed last concert for the seiyuus of μ’s (as a group). The concert named “μ’s Final LoveLive!~μ’sic Forever~” will be taking place on March 31-April 1 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, and selected theaters from around the world will also be able to be part of the event via live streaming.

Last week, March 10, PH fans have discovered in the Official Love Live Website that the Final Love Live concert will also be available for viewing via livestream in the SM Megamall cinema. The stream will be during day 1 of the concert, March 31~ 😀

While it wasn’t finalized at the time, the event has been confirmed a week after and is yet to have announcements regarding ticket-selling and event merchandise.

As we wait, us who are available on that date better prepare our lightsticks and chants. ;d

For further announcements, you better wait for it in Love Live PH or SM Cinemas.

Keep the dreams alive!

Pokemon Company International’s Creative Design Director Passes Away

A sudden and tragic news, but Eric Medalle, the Pokemon Company International’s creative design director, has suddenly passed away on Sunday in an accident. Windstorms have been plaguing Seattle as of late and while out on a drive with one of his daughters, a tree fell on their vehicle. Eric did not survive, but thankfully his daughter did and with only minor injuries.

He worked on designing many international Pokemon TCG  logos, designed the logos for Pokemon Dream Radar and the Pokemon the Series: XY, and worked on many of the recent Pokemon games. Referencing from Bulbapedia, the games he worked on are:

  • Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire – English & European Graphic Design
  • Pokémon X and Y – English & European Graphic Design
  • Pokémon Black and White Versions 2 – English Version Artwork
  • Pokémon Conquest – Graphic Design
  • Pokémon Black and White Versions – English Version Artwork
  • Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs – English-Version Graphic Design
  • Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions – English-Version Artwork
  • Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia – English Version Artwork

Puzzle Master, Akira Tago, Passes Away

Akira Tago was a psychologist famous for his successful book series, Head Gymnastics, that contained many fun puzzles to solve and was the base for games of the Professor Layton series. He worked as the director for all the Professor Layton games, and was responsible for creating its many challenging puzzles, earning his title of ‘Puzzle Master’ in its credits.

The chairman of the Japan Creative Society and president Tokyo Feature University, he passed away on March 6 at the age 90 due to interstitial pneumonia.

He will be missed by many.

The Production Line – The Lucid9 Sessions (Finale)

By this point, I just made stuff when I had the inspiration and drive. And when I had the latter, I could finish a track in less than three days. Three minor scenarios: an ordinary day, a mature conversation, and facing opposition. Did them all. Just Another Day, Power Play, and Grown-Ups, respectively. I had another hiatus since I ran out of creative juices. After dealing with work for the last quarter of 2015, I was barely there so they just assumed I left. Partly, I felt very unproductive with them; waiting for the moment for them to break it to me gently.

The Production Line – The Lucid9 Sessions (Part 4)

Come next assignment, drama ensues, literally. It was a free-for-all for the composers when the devs started posting song jobs on the groups. Each song had a brief description, a song reference from an existing VN, and a corresponding priority tag (if it had to be done ASAP, if it was optional, etc.). Having a flair for the dramatic, I chose a song that had a lot of emotional weight. The reference was a track from The Fruits of Grisaia, if you’re curious. Forgot which track though.

It came out pretty well. Guitars, chimes, strings, piano, synths, the works. It also had more structure than my usual stuff. They loved it! Just some minor gripes with sound, yet again. I had to tweak the frequencies of the guitar and piano to match the other tracks. Struggling to do so, somebody else did it for me. Thank you somebody else!

After I’ve been discharged from the project for justifiable reasons, I knew that my resignation-cum-termination was the closest thing to destiny. So here it is, The Closest Thing to Destiny.
